Quran surah Taha 16 in english translation

Sahih International

(20:16) So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(20:16) Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish.

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(20:16) Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(20:16) Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!..

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(20:16) Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish;

Dr. Ghali

(20:16) So definitely do not let him who does not believe in it and closely follows his (own) prejudices bar you from it (and) then you will topple down.

Ali Unal

(20:16) “So do not let anyone who does not believe in it and (instead) follows his own desire and caprice, turn you from (believing in and preaching the truth about) it, lest you then perish!

Amatul Rahman Omar

(20:16) `So do not allow the person who does not believe in it but pursues his (own) low desires, turn you away from (believing) it, lest you perish.

Literal

(20:16) So who does not believe with it and he followed his self attraction for desire does not object/prevent/obstruct you from it, so you fall/be destroyed .

Ahmed Ali

(20:16) So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it.

A. J. Arberry

(20:16) Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish.

Abdul Majid Daryabadi

(20:16) So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish.

Maulana Mohammad Ali

Muhammad Sarwar

(20:16) Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish.”

Hamid Abdul Aziz

(20:16) “Verily, the hour is coming, but I will to keep it hidden (but make it known), that every soul may be recompensed for its efforts.

Faridul Haque

(20:16) Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.

Talal Itani

(20:16) And do not let him who denies it and follows his desire turn you away from it, lest you fall.

Ahmed Raza Khan

(20:16) “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.”

Wahiduddin Khan

(20:16) Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin.”

(20:16) So do not let yourself be distracted from it by those who do not believe in it and who follow their desires, or you will perish.’

Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish
