فَمَا اسْطَاعُوا أَنْ يَظْهَرُوهُ وَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا لَهُ نَقْبًا

Sahih International
(18:97) So Gog and Magog were unable to pass over it, nor were they able [to effect] in it any penetration.
Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,
(18:97) So they [Ya’juj and Ma’juj (Gog and Magog)] were made powerless to scale it or dig through it.
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
(18:97) And (Gog and Magog) were not able to surmount, nor could they pierce (it).

(18:97) Thus were they made powerless to scale it or to dig through it.
