Quran surah An Najm 17 in english translation

Sahih International

(53:17) The sight [of the Prophet] did not swerve, nor did it transgress [its limit].

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(53:17) The sight (of Prophet Muhammad SAW) turned not aside (right or left), nor it transgressed beyond (the) limit (ordained for it).

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(53:17) The eye turned not aside nor yet was overbold.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(53:17) (His) sight never swerved, nor did it go wrong!

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(53:17) The eye did not turn aside, nor did it exceed the limit.

(53:17) In no way did (his) beholding (i.e; the eyesight) swerve, and in no way was it inordinate.
