Quran surah Ali ‘Imran 66 in english translation

Sahih International

(3:66) Here you are – those who have argued about that of which you have [some] knowledge, but why do you argue about that of which you have no knowledge? And Allah knows, while you know not.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(3:66) Verily, you are those who have disputed about that of which you have knowledge. Why do you then dispute concerning that which you have no knowledge? It is Allah Who knows, and you know not.

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(3:66) Lo! ye are those who argue about that whereof ye have some knowledge: Why then argue ye concerning that whereof ye have no knowledge? Allah knoweth. Ye know not.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(3:66) Ah! Ye are those who fell to disputing (Even) in matters of which ye had some knowledge! but why dispute ye in matters of which ye have no knowledge? It is Allah Who knows, and ye who know not!

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(3:66) Behold! you are they who disputed about that of which you had knowledge; why then do you dispute about that of which you have no knowledge? And Allah knows while you do not know.

Dr. Ghali

(3:66) Now you are the ones who have argued about what you have (some) knowledge (of); so, why do you argue about what you have no knowledge (of); and Allah knows and you do not know.

Ali Unal

(3:66) Indeed, you are such people that you dispute concerning even a matter about which you have knowledge; why, then, should you dispute on a matter about which you have no knowledge? God knows, but you do not know.

Amatul Rahman Omar

(3:66) Behold! you are such as have argued about that whereof you had a little knowledge, now, why do you argue about that whereof you have no knowledge at all? Indeed, Allâh knows the truth while you do not.

Literal

(3:66) Here you are, those (who) argued/quarreled in what for you knowledge with it (you are knowledgeable in), so why do you argue/quarrel in what is not for you with it knowledge (you are not knowledgeable in)? And God knows and you do not know.

Ahmed Ali

(3:66) Remember you are those who disputed the things you knew; so wherefore dispute about things you do not know? And God has the knowledge, while you do not know.

A. J. Arberry

(3:66) Ha, you are the ones who dispute on what you know; why then dispute you touching a matter of which you know not anything? God knows, and you know not.

Abdul Majid Daryabadi

(3:66) Ah! ye are those who fell to contending respecting that whereof ye had some knowledge, wherefore then should ye contend respecting that whereof ye have no knowledge! And Allah knoweth, and ye know not.

Maulana Mohammad Ali

(3:66)-

Muhammad Sarwar

(3:66) You even argue about what is already known to you. What can you learn from arguing about that which you have no knowledge? God knows but you do not know.”

Hamid Abdul Aziz

(3:66) Abraham was not a Jew, nor yet a Christian, but he was a “Hanif” (an upright man) who had surrendered, and not of the idolaters.

Faridul Haque

(3:66) Listen! This was what you argued about – of which you have some knowledge – why do you then argue about the matter you do not have any knowledge of? And Allah knows whereas you do not know.

Talal Itani

(3:66) Here you are—you argue about things you know, but why do you argue about things you do not know? God knows, and you do not know.

Ahmed Raza Khan

(3:66) Listen! This was what you argued about – of which you have some knowledge – why do you then argue about the matter you do not have any knowledge of? And Allah knows whereas you do not know.

Wahiduddin Khan

(3:66) You are those who disputed about things of which you had some knowledge. Must you now argue about things of which you have no knowledge? God knows, but you do not know.

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

(3:66) Verily, you are those who have disputed about that of which you have knowledge. Why do you then dispute concerning that of which you have no knowledge It is Allah Who knows, and you know not.

Ali Quli Qarai

(3:66) Ah! You are the very ones who argue about that of which you have knowledge. But why do you argue about that of which you have no knowledge? And Allah knows and you do not know.

Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish

(3:66) Indeed, you have disputed about that which you have knowledge. Why then dispute about that of which you have no knowledge? Allah knows and you do not know.   That is translated surah Ali ‘Imran ayat 66 (QS 3: 66) in arabic and english text, may be useful.
