Quran surah Al An’am 32 in english translation

Sahih International

(6:32) And the worldly life is not but amusement and diversion; but the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah, so will you not reason?

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(6:32) And the life of this world is nothing but play and amusement. But far better is the house in the Hereafter for those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious – see V. 2:2). Will you not then understand?

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(6:32) Naught is the life of the world save a pastime and a sport. Better far is the abode of the Hereafter for those who keep their duty (to Allah). Have ye then no sense?

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(6:32) What is the life of this world but play and amusement? But best is the home in the hereafter, for those who are righteous. Will ye not then understand?

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(6:32) And this world’s life is naught but a play and an idle sport and certainly the abode of the hereafter is better for those who guard (against evil); do you not then understand?

Dr. Ghali

(6:32) And in no way is the present life (Literally: the lowly life, i.e; the life of this world) (anything) except a plaything and a diversion, and the Last Residence is indeed most charitable for the ones who are pious. Do you then not consider?

Ali Unal

(6:32) And the present, worldly life is nothing but a play and pastime, and better is the abode of the Hereafter for those who keep from disobedience to God in reverence for Him and piety. Will you not, then, reason and understand?

Amatul Rahman Omar

(6:32) The life of this world is nought but a futile and frivolous thing causing diversion (from God). And certainly, the last abode is the best for those who guard against evil. Have you no sense?

Literal

(6:32) And the life the present/worldly life is not except playing/amusement/enjoyment and play things , and (the) end`s (other life`s) house/home (E) (is) better to those who fear and obey, so do you not reason/understand?

Ahmed Ali

(6:32) As for the life of this world, it is nothing but a frolic and frivolity. The final abode is the best for those who are pious and fear God. Do you not comprehend?

A. J. Arberry

(6:32) The present life is naught but a sport and a diversion; surely the Last Abode is better for those that are godfearing. What, do you not understand?

Abdul Majid Daryabadi

(6:32) And naught is the life of world but a play and a sport, and surely the abode of the Hereafter is better for those who fear. Reflect then ye not?

Maulana Mohammad Ali

(6:32) They are losers indeed who reject the meeting with Allah, until when the hour comes upon them suddenly, they will say: O our grief for our neglecting it! And they bear their burdens on their backs. Now surely evil is that which they bear!

Muhammad Sarwar

(6:32) The worldly life is but useless amusement and sport (compared to) the life hereafter which is far better and is only for the pious. Will you not then understand?

Hamid Abdul Aziz

(6:32) Full well We know that that which they say grieves you; but in truth they deny not you, but the unjust flout the revelations of Allah.

Faridul Haque

(6:32) The life of this world is nothing except a pastime and sport

Talal Itani

(6:32) The life of this world is nothing but game and distraction, but the Home of the Hereafter is better for those who are righteous. Do you not understand?

Ahmed Raza Khan

(6:32) The life of this world is nothing except a pastime and sport; and undoubtedly the abode of the Hereafter is better for the pious; so do you not have sense?

Wahiduddin Khan

(6:32) The life of this world is but a sport and a pastime. Surely the Home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear God. Will you not understand?

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

(6:32) And the life of this world is nothing but play and amusement. But far better is the abode of the Hereafter for those have Taqwa. Will you not then understand

Ali Quli Qarai

(6:32) The life of the world is nothing but play and diversion, and the abode of the Hereafter is surely better for those who are Godwary. Do you not exercise your reason?

Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish

(6:32) The life of this world is but playing and an amusement. Surely, the Everlasting home is better for the cautious. Will you not understand?   That is translated surah Al An’am ayat 32 (QS 6: 32) in arabic and english text, may be useful.
