Quran surah Al An’am 104 in english translation

Sahih International

(6:104) There has come to you enlightenment from your Lord. So whoever will see does so for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever is blind [does harm] against it. And [say], “I am not a guardian over you.”

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(6:104) Verily, proofs have come to you from your Lord, so whosoever sees, will do so for (the good of) his ownself, and whosoever blinds himself, will do so to his own harm, and I (Muhammad SAW) am not a watcher over you.

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(6:104) Proofs have come unto you from your Lord, so whoso seeth, it is for his own good, and whoso is blind is blind to his own hurt. And I am not a keeper over you.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(6:104) Now have come to you, from your Lord, proofs (to open your eyes): if any will see, it will be for (the good of) his own soul; if any will be blind, it will be to his own (harm): I am not (here) to watch over your doings.

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(6:104) Indeed there have come to you clear proofs from your Lord; whoever will therefore see, it is for his own soul and whoever will be blind, it shall be against himself and I am not a keeper over you.

Dr. Ghali

(6:104) Demonstrations have already come to you from your Lord; so whoever beholds, it is for his own good, (Literally: foe his “own” self) and whoever is blind, it is to his own harm, (Literally: upon his “own” self) and in no way am I (i.e. the prophet) a constant preserver over you.

Ali Unal

(6:104) Lights of discernment and insight have come to you from your Lord. Whoever therefore (by choosing to open the eye of his heart and place his eyes in its service) discerns, does so for his own good; and whoever chooses to be blind (to the truth), does so to his own harm. And (O Messenger, say to them): “I am not a keeper and watcher over you.”

Amatul Rahman Omar

(6:104) (Say,) `There has already come to you enlightenment and clear proofs from your Lord, then whosoever sees clearly (and is enlightened), it is for his own good, and whosoever chooses to remain blind, it is to his own loss. I am not a guardian over you (as I should ward off all evil by force).´

Literal

(6:104) Clear sightedness had come to you from your (P) Lord, so who saw/understood so to himself, and who blinded so on it, and I am not on you with a protector/observer .

Ahmed Ali

(6:104) To you have come signs from your Lord, (and the light of understanding). So any one who sees (and understands) does so for himself, and any one who turns blind shall suffer the consequences alone. (Say:) “I am not a guardian over you (to make you understand).”

A. J. Arberry

(6:104) Clear proofs have come to you from your Lord. Whoso sees clearly, it is to his own gain, and whoso is blind, it is to his own loss; I am not a watcher over you.

Abdul Majid Daryabadi

(6:104) Surely there hath come unto you enlightenment from your Lord. Whosoever then shall see shall do so for his own soul, and whosoever blindeth himself shall do so to his own hurt. And say thou I am not over you a guardian.

Maulana Mohammad Ali

(6:104) Vision comprehends Him not, and He comprehends (all) vision

Muhammad Sarwar

(6:104) (Muhammad), tell them, “Clear proofs have certainly come to you from your Lord. Whoever tries to understand it will gain much but those who ignore it will only harm themselves. I am not (supposed) to watch over you (all the time)”.

Hamid Abdul Aziz

(6:104) Now has insight (or proof) come unto you from your Lord, and he who sees therewith it is for his own good; but he who is blind thereto, it is against his own soul. And I am not your keeper.

Faridul Haque

(6:104) Enlightening proofs came to you from your Lord

Talal Itani

(6:104) “Insights have come to you from your Lord. Whoever sees, it is to the benefit of his soul; and whoever remains blind, it is to its detriment. I am not a guardian over you.”

Ahmed Raza Khan

(6:104) “Enlightening proofs came to you from your Lord; so whoever observes, it is for his own good; and whoever is blind, it is for his own harm; and I am not a guardian over you.”

Wahiduddin Khan

(6:104) Clear insights have come to you from your Lord. Whoever, therefore, chooses to see, does so for his own good; and whoever chooses to remain blind, does so to his own loss. Say, “I am not here as your keeper.”

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

(6:104) Verily, Basa’ir (proofs) have come to you from your Lord, so whosoever sees, will do so for (the good of) himself, and whosoever blinds himself, will do so against himself, and I am not a Hafiz over you.

Ali Quli Qarai

(6:104) [Say,] ‘Certainly insights have come to you from your Lord. So whoever sees, it is to the benefit of his own soul, and whoever remains blind, it is to its detriment, and I am not a keeper over you.’

Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish

(6:104) Clear proofs have come to you from your Lord. Whosoever sees clearly it is for himself, and whosoever is blind, it is against himself. I am not an overseer for you.   That is translated surah Al An’am ayat 104 (QS 6: 104) in arabic and english text, may be useful.
