Quran surah Al An’am 69 in english translation

Sahih International

(6:69) And those who fear Allah are not held accountable for the disbelievers at all, but [only for] a reminder – that perhaps they will fear Him.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(6:69) Those who fear Allah, keep their duty to Him and avoid evil are not responsible for them (the disbelievers) in any case, but (their duty) is to remind them, that they may avoid that (mockery at the Quran). [The order of this Verse was cancelled (abrogated) by the Verse 4:140].

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(6:69) Those who ward off (evil) are not accountable for them in aught, but the Reminder (must be given them) that haply they (too) may ward off (evil).

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(6:69) On their account no responsibility falls on the righteous, but (their duty) is to remind them, that they may (learn to) fear Allah.

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(6:69) And nought of the reckoning of their (deeds) shall be against those who guard (against evil), but (theirs) is only to remind, haply they may guard.

Dr. Ghali

(6:69) And in no way are the ones who are pious (responsible) for their reckoning in anything. But (it is only) a Reminding, that possibly they would be pious.

Ali Unal

(6:69) Those who keep from disobedience to God in reverence for Him and piety are not accountable for them in anything. But (what rests with them is) to remind and thereby admonish them so that they may fear (the evil of what they do) and avoid it.

Amatul Rahman Omar

(6:69) Those who guard against evil are not in the least accountable for these (evil doers). They are only to admonish (them) so that they may too guard against evil.

Literal

(6:69) And there is not from a thing on those who fear and obey (God) from their account/calculation (those who fear and obey God need not worry about their account), and but (it is) a remembrance/reminder, maybe they fear and obey.

Ahmed Ali

(6:69) As for the heedful and devout, they are not accountable for them, but should give advice: They may haply come to fear God.

A. J. Arberry

(6:69) Nothing of their account falls upon those that are godfearing; but a reminding; haply they will be godfearing.

Abdul Majid Daryabadi

(6:69) And naught on their account shall be on those who fear but admonition that haply they also may become God-fearing.

Maulana Mohammad Ali

(6:69)-

Muhammad Sarwar

(6:69) But those who observe piety (commit no sin) by sitting with the (unbelievers) in order to preach (the Truth) so that they, too, may become pious.

Hamid Abdul Aziz

(6:69) Leave alone (forsake, abandon) those who have taken their religion for a play (pastime) and a sport (jest, amusement), whom the life of the world has deceived, and remind them hereby lest a soul be destroyed by what it has earned. It has, beside Allah, no patron or intercessor; and though it should offer every compensation (or ransom) it will not be accepted. Those are they who perish by their own deserts. For them is (the similitude of) a drink of boiling water, and grievous woe because they persisted in their disbelief.

Faridul Haque

(6:69) And the pious are not accountable for them in the least, apart from the giving of advice so that they may avoid.

Talal Itani

(6:69) The righteous are in no way accountable for them; it is only a reminder, that they may be careful.

Ahmed Raza Khan

(6:69) And the pious are not accountable for them in the least, apart from the giving of advice so that they may avoid.

Wahiduddin Khan

(6:69) The God-fearing are not in any way held accountable for the wrongdoers; their only duty is to remind them, so that they may fear God.

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

(6:69) There is no responsibility for them upon those who have Taqwa, but (their duty) is to remind them, that they may (attain) Taqwa.

Ali Quli Qarai

(6:69) Those who are Godwary are in no way accountable for them, but this is merely for admonition’s sake, so that they may beware.

Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish

(6:69) Those who are cautious are not accountable for them in anything, but it is a reminder in order that they be cautious.   That is translated surah Al An’am ayat 69 (QS 6: 69) in arabic and english text, may be useful.
