Quran surah Al An’am 26 in english translation

Sahih International

(6:26) And they prevent [others] from him and are [themselves] remote from him. And they do not destroy except themselves, but they perceive [it] not.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(6:26) And they prevent others from him (from following Prophet Muhammad SAW) and they themselves keep away from him, and (by doing so) they destroy not but their ownselves, yet they perceive (it) not.

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(6:26) And they forbid (men) from it and avoid it, and they ruin none save themselves, though they perceive not.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(6:26) Others they keep away from it, and themselves they keep away; but they only destroy their own souls, and they perceive it not.

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(6:26) And they prohibit (others) from it and go far away from it, and they only bring destruction upon their own souls while they do not perceive.

Dr. Ghali

(6:26) And they forbid (i.e; the Qur’an) it, and retire aside of it, (i.e; keep away from it) and decidedly it is only themselves they cause to perish, and in no way are they aware of (it).

Ali Unal

(6:26) They bar others from it (the Qur’an), as they themselves keep afar from it; and in doing so, they destroy only their own selves, though they do not perceive it.

Amatul Rahman Omar

(6:26) They deter (others) from (believing in) this (Qur´ân) and (themselves too) keep away from it, yet it is their own ruin that they bring about (by such things), only they do not perceive (it).

Literal

(6:26) And they forbid/prevent from it, and they go far from it, and that they truly destroy (non) except themselves, and they do not feel/know.

Ahmed Ali

(6:26) And they forbid others from (believing in) it, and themselves keep away from it. But they ruin none but themselves, and do not understand.

A. J. Arberry

(6:26) And they forbid it, and keep afar from it, and it is only themselves they destroy, but they are not aware.

Abdul Majid Daryabadi

(6:26) And they prohibit others therefrom, and they withdraw therefrom, and they destroy not but their own souls while they perceive not.

Maulana Mohammad Ali

(6:26) And of them is he who hearkens to thee and We have cast veils over their hearts so that they understand it not and a deafness into their ears. And (even) if they see every sign they will not believe in it. So much so that when they come to thee they only dispute with thee — those who disbelieve say: This is naught but stories of the ancients.

Muhammad Sarwar

(6:26) They keep away from the faith and forbid others to accept it. They destroy no one except themselves, yet they do not realize it.

Hamid Abdul Aziz

(6:26) But could you but see when they are set over the Fire and say, “Would that we were sent back! We would not then deny our Lord´s revelations, but we would be of the believers?”

Faridul Haque

(6:26) And they stop (others) from it and run away from it

Talal Itani

(6:26) They keep others from it, and avoid it themselves; but they ruin only their own souls, and they do not realize.

Ahmed Raza Khan

(6:26) And they stop (others) from it and run away from it; and they ruin none except themselves, and they do not have sense.

Wahiduddin Khan

(6:26) and they bar others from believing and themselves keep away. But they ruin no one but themselves, though they fail to realize this.

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

(6:26) And they prevent others from him and they themselves keep away from him, and (by doing so) they destroy none but themselves, yet they perceive (it) not.

Ali Quli Qarai

(6:26) They dissuade [others] from [following] him, and [themselves] avoid him; yet they destroy no one except themselves, but they are not aware.

Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish

(6:26) They forbid from it (the Koran) and keep away from it. They destroy none except themselves, though they do not sense it.   That is translated surah Al An’am ayat 26 (QS 6: 26) in arabic and english text, may be useful.
