لِيَمِيزَ اللَّهُ الْخَبِيثَ مِنَ الطَّيِّبِ وَيَجْعَلَ الْخَبِيثَ بَعْضَهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ فَيَرْكُمَهُ جَمِيعًا فَيَجْعَلَهُ فِي جَهَنَّمَ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ

Quran surah Al Anfal 37 in english translation

Sahih International

(8:37) [This is] so that Allah may distinguish the wicked from the good and place the wicked some of them upon others and heap them all together and put them into Hell. It is those who are the losers.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(8:37) In order that Allah may distinguish the wicked (disbelievers, polytheists and doers of evil deeds) from the good (believers of Islamic Monotheism and doers of righteous deeds), and put the wicked (disbelievers, polytheists and doers of evil deeds) one on another, heap them together and cast them into Hell. Those! it is they who are the losers.

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(8:37) That Allah may separate the wicked from the good, The wicked will He place piece upon piece, and heap them all together, and consign them unto hell. Such verily are the losers.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(8:37) In order that Allah may separate the impure from the pure, put the impure, one on another, heap them together, and cast them into Hell. They will be the ones to have lost.

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(8:37) That Allah might separate the impure from the good, and put the impure, some of it upon the other, and pile it up together, then cast it into hell; these it is that are the losers.

Dr. Ghali

(8:37) That Allah may discriminate the wicked from the good, and set up the wicked one upon another; (Literally: make some of them upon some “others”) (and) so accumulate them up altogether, and then set them up in Hell; those are they (who are) the losers.

(8:37) Thus does God separate the corrupt from the pure, and make all those who are corrupt into a pile one upon another, and then place them in Hell. Those are indeed the losers.

Amatul Rahman Omar

(8:37) So that Allâh may distinguish and separate the impure from the pure and (in doing so) He will pile the impure one upon another, then He will huddle them all together, then He will consign them (-the huddled pile) to Gehenna. Such, in fact, are the very losers.

Literal

(8:37) (It is to) God to distinguish/separate the bad/wicked from the good/pure and make/put the bad/wicked some over some so He piles/ accumulates it all together , so He puts it in Hell , those are, they are the losers/misguided and perished .

Ahmed Ali

(8:37) That God may separate the bad from the good, and link the wicked together and cast them into Hell. These are verily the people who will lose.
