Quran surah Al An’am 10 in english translation

Sahih International

(6:10) And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(6:10) And indeed (many) Messengers were mocked before you, but their scoffers were surrounded by the very thing that they used to mock at.

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(6:10) Messengers (of Allah) have been derided before thee, but that whereat they scoffed surrounded such of them as did deride.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(6:10) Mocked were (many) messengers before thee; but their scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked.

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(6:10) And certainly apostles before you were mocked at, but that which they mocked at encompassed the scoffers among them.

Dr. Ghali

(6:10) And indeed Messengers were already mocked at even before you; then what they were scoffing at redounded upon the ones who mocked at them.

Ali Unal

(6:10) Messengers indeed were mocked before you (O Messenger), but what they used to mock overwhelmed those who scoffed (at the Messengers to humiliate them).

Amatul Rahman Omar

(6:10) (O Muhammad!) certainly Messengers have been treated scornfully before you but that (prophecy of the ultimate success of the Messenger) which they held in scorn recoiled on those who had held (the prophecy) in scorn.

Literal

(6:10) And had been mocked at messengers from before you, so those who mocked from them were afflicted/surrounded with what they were with it mocking/making fun.

Ahmed Ali

(6:10) Surely the apostles have been mocked before you; but what they had mocked rebounded on the mockers themselves.

A. J. Arberry

(6:10) Messengers indeed were mocked at before thee; but those that scoffed at them were encompassed by that they mocked at.

Abdul Majid Daryabadi

(6:10) And assuredly mocked were the apostles before thee, wherefore that whereat they scoffed beset these who had been mocking.

Maulana Mohammad Ali

(6:10)-

Muhammad Sarwar

(6:10) They mocked the Messengers who lived before you (Muhammad), but those who received warnings of punishment and mocked the warnings, all suffered their torments accordingly.

Hamid Abdul Aziz

(6:10) Say, “Travel in the land and see the nature of the consequences for the rejecters (for those who called them liars).”

Faridul Haque

(6:10) And certainly, O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) the Noble Messengers before you have also been mocked at, so those who laughed at them were themselves ruined by their own mocking.

Talal Itani

(6:10) Messengers before you were ridiculed, but those who mocked them became besieged by what they ridiculed.

Ahmed Raza Khan

(6:10) And certainly, O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) the Noble Messengers before you have also been mocked at, so those who laughed at them were themselves ruined by their own mocking.

Wahiduddin Khan

(6:10) Messengers have been mocked before you, but those who scoffed were overtaken by the very thing they scoffed at.

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

(6:10) And indeed Messengers were mocked before you, but their scoffers were surrounded by the very thing that they used to mock at.

Ali Quli Qarai

(6:10) Apostles were certainly derided before you. Then those who ridiculed them were besieged by what they used to deride.

Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish

(6:10) Other Messengers have been mocked before you. But those who scoffed at them were encompassed by that they had mocked’   That is translated surah Al An’am ayat 10 (QS 6: 10) in arabic and english text, may be useful.
