لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَتَعِيَهَا أُذُنٌ وَاعِيَةٌ

Sahih International

(69:12) That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(69:12) That We might make it a remembrance for you, and the keen ear (person) may (hear and) understand it.

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(69:12) That We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(69:12) That We might make it a Message unto you, and that ears (that should hear the tale and) retain its memory should bear its (lessons) in remembrance.
