وَذَٰلِكُمْ ظَنُّكُمُ الَّذِي ظَنَنْتُمْ بِرَبِّكُمْ أَرْدَاكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُمْ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ

Quran surah Fussilat 23 in english translation

Sahih International

(41:23) And that was your assumption which you assumed about your Lord. It has brought you to ruin, and you have become among the losers.”

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(41:23) And that thought of yours which you thought about your Lord, has brought you to destruction, and you have become (this Day) of those utterly lost!

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(41:23) That, your thought which ye did think about your Lord, hath ruined you; and ye find yourselves (this day) among the lost.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(41:23) But this thought of yours which ye did entertain concerning your Lord, hath brought you to destruction, and (now) have ye become of those utterly lost!

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(41:23) And that was your (evil) thought which you entertained about your Lord that has tumbled you down into perdition, so are you become of the lost ones.

(41:23) And that (Literally: those (s) (was) the surmise you surmised about your Lord; it has toppled you; so you have become among the losers.”

(41:23) It is that supposition of yours which you entertained about your Lord that has tumbled you down into perdition, and so you have come to be among the losers.

(41:23) `And it was this (very wrong) belief of yours which you hold about your Lord that has ruined you, so that you have now become of the losers.´

(41:23) And that (is) your thought/assumption which you thought/assumed with your Lord, He made you fall/ruin so you became from the losers .

(41:23) It is this notion you had of your Lord that caused your ruin, and you are lost.”
