Quran surah Ar Ra’d 15 in english translation

Sahih International

(13:15) And to Allah prostrates whoever is within the heavens and the earth, willingly or by compulsion, and their shadows [as well] in the mornings and the afternoons.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(13:15) And unto Allah (Alone) falls in prostration whoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and so do their shadows in the mornings and in the afternoons.

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(13:15) And unto Allah falleth prostrate whosoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, as do their shadows in the morning and the evening hours.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(13:15) Whatever beings there are in the heavens and the earth do prostrate themselves to Allah (Acknowledging subjection),- with good-will or in spite of themselves: so do their shadows in the morning and evenings.

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(13:15) And whoever is in the heavens and the earth makes obeisance to Allah only, willingly and unwillingly, and their shadows too at morn and eve.

Dr. Ghali

(13:15) And to Allah prostrate themselves whoever are in the heavens and the earth, willingly and unwillingly, and their shadows (prostrate) in the early mornings and (the hours) before sunset. A prostration is to be performed here.

Ali Unal

(13:15) To God prostrate all that are in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, as do their shadows in the mornings and the evenings.

Amatul Rahman Omar

(13:15) All those that are in the heavens and on the earth submit to Allâh alone

Literal

(13:15) And to God, prostrate what (are) in the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth voluntarily and involuntarily/forcefully , and their shadow/glory at the early morning and the evening to sunsets.

Ahmed Ali

(13:15) Whosoever is in the heavens and on earth bows to God in submission with a will or perforce, as do their shadows in the morning and evening.

A. J. Arberry

(13:15) To God bow all who are in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, as do their shadows also in the mornings and the evenings.

Abdul Majid Daryabadi

(13:15) And unto Allah prostrateth himself whosoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or of constraint, and also thir shadows in the moring and the evenings.

Maulana Mohammad Ali

(13:15) To Him is due the true prayer. And those to whom they pray besides Him give them no answer, but (they are) like one who stretches forth his two hands towards water that I may reach his mouth, but it will not reach it. And the prayer of the disbelievers is only wasted.

Muhammad Sarwar

(13:15) All in the heavens and the earth prostrate themselves before God, either of their own free will or by force, just as do their shadows in the mornings and evenings.

Hamid Abdul Aziz

(13:15) True prayer is only a call to Allah; and those who call on others besides Him shall not be answered at all, except as one who stretches out his hand to the water that it may reach his mouth, but it reaches it not! The call of the disbelievers is futile.

Faridul Haque
