وَانْطَلَقَ الْمَلَأُ مِنْهُمْ أَنِ امْشُوا وَاصْبِرُوا عَلَىٰ آلِهَتِكُمْ ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَيْءٌ يُرَادُ
Quran surah Sad 6 in english translation
Sahih International(38:6) And the eminent among them went forth, [saying], “Continue, and be patient over [the defense of] your gods. Indeed, this is a thing intended.
Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,(38:6) And the leaders among them went about (saying): “Go on, and remain constant to your aliha (gods)! Verily, This is a thing designed (against you)!
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall(38:6) The chiefs among them go about, exhorting: Go and be staunch to your gods! Lo! this is a thing designed.
Abdullah Yusuf Ali(38:6) And the leader among them go away (impatiently), (saying), “Walk ye away, and remain constant to your gods! For this is truly a thing designed (against you)!
Mohammad Habib Shakir(38:6) And the chief persons of them break forth, saying: Go and steadily adhere to your gods; this is most surely a thing sought after.
Dr. Ghali(38:6) And the chiefs among them went off, (saying), “Go on! (Or: March on!) And endure (patiently) with your gods; surely this indeed is a thing willfully (designed).
Ali Unal(38:6) The leaders among them went about inciting one another: “Move on, and remain constant to your deities. Surely that (to which this man calls) is the very thing that is certainly intended (deliberately plotted by him and those who follow him).
Amatul Rahman Omar(38:6) And the leaders among them go about saying, `Go (from here) and adhere constantly to (the worship of) your gods. This (claim of the Qur´ân about the unity of God) is a thing designed (with some purpose behind it).
Literal(38:6) And the assembly/nobles set out that: “Walk and be patient on your gods, that (E) (is) a thing (E) is being wanted/intended .”
Ahmed Ali(38:6) And their leading chiefs said: “Remain attached to your gods. There is surely some motive behind it.
A. J. Arberry(38:6) And the Council of them depart, saying ‘Go! Be steadfast to your gods; this is a thing to be desired.
Abdul Majid Daryabadi(38:6) The chiefs among them departed saying: go, and persevere in your gods; verily this is a thing designed.
Maulana Mohammad Ali(38:6)-
Muhammad Sarwar(38:6) A group of the pagans walked out of a meeting with the Prophet and told the others, “Let us walk away. Be steadfast in the worship of your gods. This man wants to dominate you.
Hamid Abdul Aziz(38:6) And the leaders among them go about exhorting, “Go and remain constant to your gods; for this is most surely a thing designed against you.
Faridul Haque(38:6) And their leaders went about, Leave him and cling steadfastly to your Gods! Indeed he has a hidden objective in this!
Talal Itani(38:6) The notables among them announced: Go on, and hold fast to your gods. This is something planned.
Ahmed Raza Khan(38:6) And their leaders went about, Leave him and cling steadfastly to your Gods! Indeed he has a hidden objective in this!
Wahiduddin Khan(38:6) Their leaders departed, saying, “Walk away! Hold fast to your deities. This is clearly a conspiracy.
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri(38:6) And the leaders among them went about (saying): “Go on, and remain constant to your gods! Verily, this is a thing designed!”
Ali Quli Qarai(38:6) Their elite go about [urging others]: Go and stand by your gods! This is indeed the desirable thing [to do].
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish(38:6) Their assembly left (saying): ‘Go, and be patient to your gods, this is something to be desired. That is translated surah Sad ayat 6 (QS 38: 6) in arabic and english text, may be useful.
