فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَاهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لِتُبَشِّرَ بِهِ الْمُتَّقِينَ وَتُنْذِرَ بِهِ قَوْمًا لُدًّا

Quran surah Maryam 97 in english translation

Sahih International

(19:97) So, [O Muhammad], We have only made Qur’an easy in the Arabic language that you may give good tidings thereby to the righteous and warn thereby a hostile people.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(19:97) So We have made this (the Quran) easy in your own tongue (O Muhammad SAW), only that you may give glad tidings to the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons – See V. 2:2), and warn with it the Ludda (most quarrelsome) people.

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(19:97) And We make (this Scripture) easy in thy tongue, (O Muhammad) only that thou mayst bear good tidings therewith unto those who ward off (evil), and warn therewith the froward folk.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(19:97) So have We made the (Qur’an) easy in thine own tongue, that with it thou mayest give Glad Tidings to the righteous, and warnings to people given to contention.
