Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(19:97) So We have made this (the Quran) easy in your own tongue (O Muhammad SAW), only that you may give glad tidings to the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons – See V. 2:2), and warn with it the Ludda (most quarrelsome) people.

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(19:97) And We make (this Scripture) easy in thy tongue, (O Muhammad) only that thou mayst bear good tidings therewith unto those who ward off (evil), and warn therewith the froward folk.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(19:97) So have We made the (Qur’an) easy in thine own tongue, that with it thou mayest give Glad Tidings to the righteous, and warnings to people given to contention.

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(19:97) So We have only made it easy in your tongue that you may give good news thereby to those who guard (against evil) and warn thereby a vehemently contentious people.

(19:97) (Prophet!) We have made this (Qur´ân) easy (by revealing it) in your own tongue, that you may give glad tidings thereby to those who guard against evil and warn thereby a people stubbornly given to contention.
