Quran surah An Najm 28 in english translation

Sahih International

(53:28) And they have thereof no knowledge. They follow not except assumption, and indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(53:28) While they have no knowledge thereof. They follow but a guess, and verily, guess is no substitute for the truth.

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(53:28) And they have no knowledge thereof. They follow but a guess, and lo! a guess can never take the place of the truth.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(53:28) But they have no knowledge therein. They follow nothing but conjecture; and conjecture avails nothing against Truth.

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(53:28) And they have no knowledge of it; they do not follow anything but conjecture, and surely conjecture does not avail against the truth at all.

Dr. Ghali

(53:28) And in no way do they have any knowledge thereof. Decidedly they closely follow (nothing) except surmise, and surely surmise does not avail anything against the Truth.

Ali Unal

(53:28) They have no knowledge of this. They follow nothing other than conjecture, and conjecture can never substitute for anything of the truth.

Amatul Rahman Omar

(53:28) But they have no knowledge of the matter. They follow nothing but conjecture, yet by no means can a conjecture be a substitute for the established Truth.

Literal

(53:28) And (there is) no knowledge for them with it, that truly they follow except the doubt/suspicion , and that truly the doubt/suspicion does not enrich/suffice from the truth a thing.

Ahmed Ali

(53:28) Yet they have no knowledge of this, and follow nothing but conjecture, but conjecture cannot replace the truth.

A. J. Arberry

(53:28) They have not any knowledge thereof; they follow only surmise, and surmise avails naught against truth.

Abdul Majid Daryabadi

(53:28) And they have no knowledge thereof; they follow but a vain opinion, and verily a vain opinion attaineth not aught of the truth.

Maulana Mohammad Ali

(53:28)-

Muhammad Sarwar

(53:28) They only follow mere conjecture which can never sufficiently replace the Truth.

Hamid Abdul Aziz

(53:28) And they have no knowledge of it; they do not follow anything but conjecture, and surely conjecture does not avail against the truth at all.

Faridul Haque

(53:28) And they do not have any knowledge of it

Talal Itani

(53:28) They have no knowledge of that. They only follow assumptions, and assumptions are no substitute for the truth.

Ahmed Raza Khan

(53:28) And they do not have any knowledge of it; they just follow assumption; and indeed assumption does not serve any purpose in place of the Truth.

Wahiduddin Khan

(53:28) They have no knowledge to base this on. They merely indulge in guess-work which can never replace the truth.

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

(53:28) But they have no knowledge thereof. They follow but conjecture, and verily, conjecture is no substitute for the truth.

Ali Quli Qarai

(53:28) They do not have any knowledge of that. They follow nothing but conjectures, and conjecture is no substitute for the truth.

Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish

(53:28) Yet of this they have no knowledge, they follow mere conjecture, and conjecture does not help against truth.   That is translated surah An Najm ayat 28 (QS 53: 28) in arabic and english text, may be useful.
