قَالَ أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِي عَلَىٰ أَنْ مَسَّنِيَ الْكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ

Sahih International

(15:54) He said, “Have you given me good tidings although old age has come upon me? Then of what [wonder] do you inform?”

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(15:54) [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: “Do you give me glad tidings (of a son) when old age has overtaken me? Of what then is your news?”

(15:54) He said: Bring ye me good tidings (of a son) when old age hath overtaken me? Of what then can ye bring good tidings?

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(15:54) He said: “Do ye give me glad tidings that old age has seized me? Of what, then, is your good news?”

(15:54) He said: Do you give me good news (of a son) when old age has come upon me?– Of what then do you give me good news!
