وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ غَافِلًا عَمَّا يَعْمَلُ الظَّالِمُونَ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِيَوْمٍ تَشْخَصُ فِيهِ الْأَبْصَارُ

Quran surah Ibrahim 42 in english translation

Sahih International

(14:42) And never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare [in horror].

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(14:42) Consider not that Allah is unaware of that which the Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, etc.) do, but He gives them respite up to a Day when the eyes will stare in horror.

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(14:42) Deem not that Allah is unaware of what the wicked do. He but giveth them a respite till a day when eyes will stare (in terror),

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(14:42) Think not that Allah doth not heed the deeds of those who do wrong. He but giveth them respite against a Day when the eyes will fixedly stare in horror,-

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(14:42) And do not think Allah to be heedless of what the unjust do; He only respites them to a day on which the eyes shall be fixedly open,

(14:42) And definitely do not reckon that Allah is heedless of what the unjust (ones) are doing; surely He only defers them to a Day (when) be holdings will glaze over.

(14:42) Never reckon that God is unaware of what the wrongdoers are doing. He only defers them to a day when their eyes will stare (in terror);

(14:42) And (O reader!) do not think that Allâh is unaware of all that these wrongdoers do. He only defers their punishment to the day when the eyes (of the people) will fixedly stare (in horror).

Literal

(14:42) And do not think/suppose that God (is) ignoring/neglecting from what the unjust/oppressive make/do , but God delays them to a day the eye sights/knowledge stare/gaze in it.

(14:42) Think not God is oblivious of the deeds of the wicked. He has only allowed them respite till the Day on which all eyes would stare aghast,
