فَأَصْبَحَتْ كَالصَّرِيمِ

Sahih International

(68:20) And it became as though reaped.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(68:20) So the (garden) became black by the morning, like a pitch dark night (in complete ruins).

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(68:20) And in the morning it was as if plucked.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(68:20) So the (garden) became, by the morning, like a dark and desolate spot, (whose fruit had been gathered).

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(68:20) So it became as black, barren land.

Dr. Ghali

(68:20) So (in the morning) it became as if it were a garden wrested away.

(68:20) So by morning it had become bleak.
